Hi Rafa,
I loved taking your course in September, it was great learning and being involved. As an engineer turned Agile leader yourself, I was wondering what good next steps would be for landing a role in this space? Some more on my experience- I always worked with small teams I got to have thorough hands-on experience with the agile project management (Sprint and Kanban) and business communications side of these engineering roles.
I've written marketplace listings, pitched successful ideas to a CEO I worked with (I'd told them to take their loyalty APIs and target them towards the gaming space. They did, and that seems to be working out for them)
Like I'd said during our class, I can be excellent in this area, so what should be next for me?
Hi Saif,
Thanks for the kind words! I'm thrilled to hear you enjoyed the course and found it valuable.
As you know, everyone has to trail their own path, and given your background and experience, you're already on a great one. I'd recommend focusing on a few key areas as you move forward. First, keep networking within the Agile community. Engage with others, find user groups, share your insights, and don’t hesitate to connect with people to learn from their experiences and seek advice.
Also, consider diving deeper into Agile through additional certifications or training. Reading good books, directly or indirectly related, can also bring a deeper understanding and expand your horizons. This can not only enhance your skills but also make you stand out to potential employers.
Remember to showcase your successes, like your work with the loyalty APIs. Highlighting these accomplishments can really make a difference when pursuing new opportunities.
Stay curious and open to learning, and don’t forget to enjoy the journey! You’ve got what it takes to excel in this space.
Best,
